The course focuses on developing a deep understanding of and an intuition for basic economics concepts relating to markets, consumer behavior, production, competitive strategy and externalities. The course is designed for entering doctoral students who do not have adequate background in economics for the microeconomics sequence of AEC511, 512 and 513.
